Here are some ideas to recycle your old clothes:
- Jewelry – Accessories are important for our outfits, so jewelry is a great option to turn your old clothes into something fashionable. If you have the right tools and knowledge, you can turn a skirt, a pair of jeans or a shirt into an embellished bracelet, mixes your old clothes into a mismatched braid, play with the colors and wear it with your favorite clothes. You can also make diadems, earrings or scarves with your old clothes.
- New clothes – Yes, it is possible to turn your old clothes into new ones, you only need to alter them and you do not need too much knowledge to do it, you can use a patchwork method to give new life to your worn articles by cutting the fabric into small squares, sew those pieces of fabric into your jeans, shorts or skirts and they will look completely different.
- Felting – Have you ever put your sweaters into hot water by accident? You should have learned the hard way how they shrink, crafters use this method as felting, turning old sweaters into new bags by putting them into hot water, then into a dryer and finally sewing them together.
“We need to recycle as much as we can in order to help the environment, giving new life to the old clothes is a good way to contribute in a positive way to the environment care”, added Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal.
